On May 1st, 2023, Abdul Rehman Beigh s/o Abdul Rahim Beigh approached police station Sheeri and lodged a complaint alleging that his two daughters ( identity withheld) aged 14 and 15 years, were kidnapped by Mohd Aqib Dar and Rayees Ahmad Lone, both residents of Pehliharan. On this information, PS Sheeri registered a case under FIR No. 38/2023 u/s 363, 376, 506 IPC. The police acting promptly arrested both the accused and rescued the minor girls. The victims were safely handed over to their legal heirs after completing all necessary legal formalities, and the accused are currently in police custody. Baramulla Police has expressed its strong commitment to ensure that the accused face the full extent of the law for their heinous acts.
