BANDIPORA APRIL 27: Deputy Commissioner Dr. Owais Ahmed on Thursday visited the area affected by the recent landslide in Nusso Bandipora.   The purpose of the visit was to take stock of the situation and damage caused by recent land slide due to incessant rains.   During the visit, the Deputy Commissioner interacted with the people and took stock of relief measures provided to affected families.  He said that the land slide was reported yesterday at around 11pm, and a team of officers led by Tehsildar Bandipora sheikh Tariq, SHO Bandipora and other officials immediately reached the spot to assess the situation besides taking relief and rehabilitation measures.   He said the team immediately rehabilitated the families affected by the land slide to avoid loss of life.   Dr. Owais also urged the public to be vigilant during such situations and take all necessary precautions to avoid any damage or loss of life.  He said the District Administration is closely monitoring the situation throughout the district and urged the public to immediately contact the control room in case of any such situations.
