Government declares 2 days of state mourning as mark of respect to Parkash Singh Badal

Srinagar,April 26 : Following the death of former Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal’s death, the government declared two days of state mourning across India on April 26 and 27.  “As a mark of respect to Shri Parkash Singh Badal, Former Chief Minister of Punjab who has passed away on 25th April, 2023, the Government of India has decided that there shall be two day(s) State Mourning on 26.04.2023 and 27.04.2023 throughout the country.” Reads the notification issued by J&K Government, a copy of which lies with dailygadyal.   “It has been decided that a National Flag shall fly at half-mast during the Mourning on all buildings and places where it is flown regularly; and  there shall be no official entertainment during the Mourning.” It reads further.   “These decisions are brought into notice of all the concerned for information and necessary action.” It reads.
