In order to show respect and understand the traditions of the locals and celebrate important festivals with the local populace of the area , Iftaar party was organised with an aim to identify their generic behavior, problems and pulse. On the festive occasion of Ramadan Mansabal Army Camp organised an *Iftaar Party* on behalf of Sect Commander, hosted by Commanding Officer, Manasbal Battalion on Thursday. Influential politicians including Imtiyaz Parray, Apni Party, Munnawar Joshi, NC, Naseer Lone, BJP, DSP Hajin Ramiz Rashid , DDC safapora, Chairman MC Hajin Irshad Wani ,DDC Hakkabara, BDC Sumbal, Govt officials, sarpanchs, panchs and 105 locals of Manasbal AOR graced the event with their presence inspite of incliment weather. Discussions over traditions and ways of the locals during the festival, general well being, movement of Gujjars and bakarwals in the upper ridges, fruit and wood business were done. Namaz was offered under a Moulvi with practitioners following the Moulvis instructions. The event achieved its desired aim of deepening the Army connect with the locals thus understanding the pulse during the festival. The practitioners were full of praises for the Indian Army for its belief in the concept of Sarva Dharma Sambhava and for organizing the event. Such intiatives by the Indian Army on a daily basis to connect with various sections of the society has helped in making the bond even better.
