Srinagar, April 17 : Taking a serious view of the allegations of illegal transfer of Waqf property and negligence that allegedly led to today’s fire incident at Hazratbal Srinagar, Chairperson J&K Waqf Board haa ordered a time-bound enquiry into fire incident and its circumstances.   “In view of serious allegations of illegal transfer of Waqf Property at Hazratbal Srinagar in the past and alleged negligence shown by Waqf employees & tenants leading to the above-mentioned fire incident, a Committee of four members is hereby constituted to enquire into the incident & its circumstances,” Reads an order issued by Tehsildar Waqf, a copy of which lies  daily  gadyal  The Constituted committee as per order includes Dr. Ghulam Nabi Haleem,Hon’ble Board Member as Chairman while Mehraj-ud-din Beigh, Principal Madinat-ul-Aloom, Mohammad Ashiq Wani Estates Officer, R&E Wing and Javaid Iqbal Wani J.E Electrical will be members of the committee.   “In addition to the enquiry into the complaints of negligence leading to the fire incident, the Committee shall also peruse the history of allotment of property & allegations of unauthorised transfer of the instant property, and submit its report alongwith recommendations within a period of ten days positively for perusal of the Hon’ble Chairperson and further necessary action.” reads the order.
