Workshop & Meeting with PRIs /all stakeholders held to deliberate upon MAP & DWCP  BANDIPORA, APRIL 17: On the directions of Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, JD Planning, Imtiyaz Ahmad today chaired a meeting of various stakeholders to discuss the micro activity plan (MAP) implementation under Jal Shakti Abhiyan (JSA) post declaration of District under water stress category.  The meeting witnessed threadbare discussion regarding the implementation of the Jal Shakti Abhiyan and the challenges being faced by the executing agencies in the district.   The meeting was attended by Nodal Officer Coordination and Assistant Commissioner Development Mohammad Ashraf Hakak, SE Hydraulic PHE Circle Baramulla/Bandipora Mohammad Hanif, ExEn PHE, ACP, JDP, Executive Engineers and other concerned besides PRIs.  During the meeting, the concerned were directed to expedite the implementation of the Jal Shakti Abhiyan activities and ensure that all households in the district have access to safe and adequate drinking water supply in all seasons. Stress was given to work in a coordinated manner to ensure the success of the program.  The officials were also instructed to conduct awareness campaigns and mobilize the community to ensure programme sustainability.  During the meeting suggestions were received from the PRIs for implementing the programme properly and effectively in their respective areas. Water conservation measures (District Water Conservation Plan) in the urban and rural areas were also discussed to ensure optimum use of rain, spring and clear water falls in the district  At last, officers were asked to furnish activity plan, geo tag pics, ab. Start JSA Activities including direct recharging of sources, Afforestation, RDD and other dept activities , IEC etc.  He stated that best three awards to three sarpanchs for conducting unique panchayat mela shall be conferred.
