In line with the Government of India’s policy of establishing National symbols across government buildings, 130 AD Regt of Chinar Air Defence Brigade established a flag post at Government Senior Secondary School, Khanda under operation Sadbhavna. This is the fifth Flag Post Establishment Event under this initiative. This is a part of the initiative by Chinar Air Defence Brigade wherein construction of National Flag Posts in ten government schools in far flung areas of Budgam District is planned. The construction of flag post was received with enthusiasm by students & teachers of the school. A small event was also organised where Principal Mrs Nusrat Ameen of the school thanked the Education Department & Indian Army for establishment of flag post & creating atmosphere of positivity & integrating young children into national mainstream. Brig Tarun Narula, Commander, 619 (I) Ad Bde attended the flag hoisting ceremony and thanked the school staff for providing a positive and conducive environment for successful conduct of the event. To motivate the students in making physical fitness a way of life, few sports items were also provided to the Head Boy of the School.
