Hundreds attended Dental Awareness cum Hygiene Camp at DC Office  GANDERBAL, APRIL 13: The District Administration Ganderbal in collaboration with Chief Medical Officer Ganderbal today organized Dental Awareness cum Hygiene Camp here in the lawns of Mini Secretariat Ganderbal as part of World Oral Health Day.  The Camp was organized with the purpose to raise awareness about the importance of oral hygiene among the people.  During the program, oral health care awareness and screening was conducted for people visiting the DC office. They were taught about brushing techniques and other oral hygiene instructions. Free medicines, mouth washes, hygiene kits, toothbrushes were also distributed among the participants.  Dr. Amira Majid said the World Oral Health Day is observed annually to raise global awareness of the issues around oral health and the importance of oral hygiene.  She said that a healthy mouth leads to a healthy body. She explained the impact of oral health on overall health and the role of a balanced diet in maintaining good health and hygiene.
