Karnah, the Chowkibal-Tangdhar, roads have been closed for vehicular traffic due to heavy rains and fresh snow fall at sadhna top . Meanwhile, due to heavy rain and snow avalanche warning, people of Karnah have been asked to be cautions while moving during these days and the traffic restricts their movement during rainy days.
As per reports at least eight inches of snow was recorded at sadhna top. An official confirmed to local news channels that the traffic on Chowkibal -Karnah highway was suspended as a precautionary measure.Meanwhile, the fresh snowfall also disrupted normal life.
“Due to accumulation of snow, many vehicle and dozen elderly, children and women has been stuck near Sadhna Top and they have been rescued by army and provided them food and shelter in nearby Army camp.
Due heavy rain inhabitant of tangdhar instructed by authorities living in these areas take precautions and avoid venturing out in the avalanche-prone areas.
Electricity has also shut down for last few days, we haven’t seen a single day when the power supply was on during morning and evening times, it is a collective punishment which is being met despite paying our bills on time,” and The power cuts during the month of Ramadhan is contrary to the directions said inhabitants of Karnah.
