T20 Cricket Tournament concludes in Awantipora; Mantaqi Sports Awantipora emerged as winners

Awantipora 22 March 2023:
Awantipora Police under the aegis of Civic Action Programme (CAP) organized a T-20 Cricket tournament. The tournament which was inaugurated by SSP Awantipora Shri Ajaz Ahmed Zagar-JKPS at Sports Stadium Charligund Awantipora today concluded with a colourful closing ceremony after the final match of the tournament .

On the closing ceremony, DIG SKR Shri Rayees Mohammad Bhat-IPS was Chief Guest, SSP Awantipora Shri Ajaz Ahmed Zargar-JKPS, Dy.SP DAR,SDPO Awantipora ,SHO Awantipora and other officers of Police attended the closing ceremony.

The final match of the T20 cricket tournament was played between United Club Gadhikhal vs Mantaqi Sports Awantipora in which Mantaqi Sports Awantipora emerge as winners of the tournament .

The tournament was played on knock out basis. Sixteen teams from different areas of Police District Awantipora participated in the tournament with great enthusiasm, passion and valour.

While speaking on the closing ceremony, DIG SKR said that J&K Police has always been on the forefront in providing platform to youth and guide them in following their goals by organizing different events across J&K. He also presented trophies to winner team and runner up team.

The Winning team and Runner-up team were awarded with Trophies, Cash Prize of Rs. 25,000/- and Rs. 10,000/- respectively.
Man of the Match award was given to Adil Ahmad and man of the series award was given to Malik Jasim.

While addressing the participants, SSP Awantipora thanked the participating teams for their sportsmanship and enthusiasm during the tournament. He also presented a trophy to DIG SKR Anantnag as a token of love and thanked him for gracing the closing ceremony event and for encouraging the youth towards sports activities.
