KUPWARA, MARCH 16: On the directions of Deputy commissioner (DC)Kupwara , Dr. Doifode Sagar Dattatray, Motor Vehicle Department Kupwara started sticker pasting campaign from main bus stand kupwara today under Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhyan- for drug De-addiction . The aim of this awareness campaign is to disseminate the message of Nasha MUKT Bharat Abhyan- for Drug De-addiction in Kupwara district.

Speaking on the occasion, ARTO Kupwara, Anees Ahmad said that more than 3000 stickers carrying the message that ” Drugs Kill “are being pasted on vehicles and in comming days all the vehicles plying in Kupwara district shall be covered under this campaign.
ARTO stressed the need to sensitize the commuters, as well as people about the hazards of drug addiction, adding that the commuters have to play a pivotal role to curb this menace. He said that the main objective of organizing this awareness campaign was to reach out to masses and spread awareness about the impact of drug abuse on the individuals as well as on the society.

He exhorted the drivers and commuters to take pledge against use of harmful drugs. He advised the commuters not to indulge in drug abuse and also aware the public at large about the various menaces existing in the society. On this occasion, the participants pledged not to indulge in any type of drug abuse.
