GANDERBAL, MARCH 14: Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal, Shyambir today chaired Vidyalaya Management Committee (VMC) meeting of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Hatbara here at School Campus Ganderbal.

The meeting was attended by Principal JNV Hatbara, Executive Engineer R&B Division Ganderbal, BMO Ganderbal and other committee members.

At the outset the Principal JNV, Hatbara gave a detailed overview about the functioning of GNV, Hatbara which has intake capacity of 441 candidates. He informed that 563 candidates have been registered for JNVST 2023 and JNV selection test for class 6th is scheduled to be conducted on 29 April, 2023 at various centers viz Ganderbal, Tullamula, Hariganwan and Kangan blocks of the district.

The Deputy Commissioner stressed upon the school management to work for overall development of the students and laid emphasis to motivate the students to take part in extracurricular activates for physical and mental wellness.

The meeting also discussed other issues included construction of internal approach road, upgradation of play field, raising of boundary wall, installing of dust bins in campus, open gym and other issues of infrastructure development.

The DC advised the school authorities to submit proposal complete in all respects and assures all possible support from district administration for the development of the school. He also gave necessary direction to the concerned agencies for timely redressal of those issues which needs immediate attention.

Later, the DC took a round of school Campus and also interacted with students and enquired about their preparations for the upcoming exams and urged them to give their best to in their academics.
