Shopian, March 05: District Hub for Empowerment of Women (DHEW), Mission Shakti Shopian today organised an outreach cum awareness camp at Nowgam Shopian.
The DHEW team shared awareness on different issues confronted by the women in the society including issues of domestic Violence, Drug Abuse, Psychological Problems.
The participants were informed about remedies and facilities available at District level to curb such issues.
The Team also educated people about various schemes such as Mission Shakti, OSC, WHL 181, shelter Home, Marriage Assistance Scheme, CCI Child Care institution, ICPS, Old-age home, and all other women related Schemes available in various government departments.
DHEW emphasised upon the importance of the BBBP Campaign and stated that women can be empowered in a variety of ways.
