The Municipal Commissioner stressed upon the Jammuites to take full advantage of the subsidies extended by the central and J&K UT governments under the Jammu Solar City Scheme.

The weeklong event, which was inaugurated by Commissioner Secretary Science and Technology, Saurabh Bhagat on 24-02-2023, was a source of great attraction for local masses and was also attended by some prominent political figures and Ex. Bureaucrats.

During the expo, the firms, from across the country, showcased the latest technologies involving solar photovoltaics and solar thermal based devices. The event also witnessed flagging off of two vans for public awareness of the Jammu Solar City Scheme being implemented by JAKEDA.

Parallely, during the event, the participant vendors were able to generate a substantial business which would go a long way in enabling JAKEDA to achieve the targets set by the Ministry under the Scheme.
