Jammu Solar Expo – 2023 by JAKEDA concludes at Bahu Plaza

JAMMU, MARCH 02: The Jammu Solar Expo, organized by Jammu and Kashmir Energy Development Agency (JAKEDA), Science & Technology Department at Bahu Plaza Complex, opposite Vishal Mega Mart, Jammu from 24-02-2023, officially ended today with a closing ceremony presided over by Commissioner Jammu Municipal Corporation, Rahul Yadav, CEO, JAKEDA, Dr. P. R. Dhar and other officers of JAKEDA.

During the concluding ceremony, Rahul Yadav distributed the certificates of appreciation and mementos among all the participating firms and appreciated the efforts of the vendors in imparting the awareness among the masses regarding use of Solar Rooftop Technology.

The weeklong event, which was inaugurated by Commissioner Secretary Science and Technology, Saurabh Bhagat on 24-02-2023, was a source of great attraction for local masses and was also attended by some prominent political figures and Ex. Bureaucrats.

During the expo, the firms, from across the country, showcased the latest technologies involving solar photovoltaics and solar thermal based devices. The event also witnessed flagging off of two vans for public awareness of the Jammu Solar City Scheme being implemented by JAKEDA.

Parallely, during the event, the participant vendors were able to generate a substantial business which would go a long way in enabling JAKEDA to achieve the targets set by the Ministry under the Scheme.
