SRINAGAR, MARCH 02: Gandhi Memorial College, Srinagar Thursday organized an Induction/Orientation programme to sensitize students about their role in shaping their own future and contribution towards society at large.

The programme was attended by a large number of students and members of teaching and non-teaching staff.

In his keynote address, Principal of the college, Prof (Dr) G M Lone welcomed back the students after winter vacations. He exhorted them to commit themselves to accomplishing their cherished goals.

Prof (Dr) Lone stressed upon students to cultivate proper etiquettes and make consistent efforts to become productive citizens in future. He, further, assured students of leaving no stone unturned in restoring the lost glory of Gandhi Memorial College, Srinagar and turning it into an Institute of academic excellence.

Earlier, the programme started with a welcome address by Prof Mohammad Zubair Ud din. He traced the history of college and highlighted the role played by it in changing the academic and cultural landscape of Srinagar.

Students appreciated the efforts of the Principal of the college in changing the academic landscape of the college in a very short span of time.
