Dr Samoon reviews filling up of vacancies of gazetted, non gazetted officers in SDD

JAMMU, MARCH 2: Principal Secretary, Skill Development Department (SDD), Dr Asgar Hassan Samoon, today chaired a meeting to review filling up of vacancies of gazetted and non gazetted officers in the department at civil Secretariat here

The meeting was attended by Director SDD, Special Secretary SDD besides representative of ARI & Training Department, General Administration Department, Department of Law Justice & Parliament Affairs, Service Selection Board J&K and other concerned officials while Kasmir based officers participated online.

During the meeting, threadbare discussion was held on various issues including direct recruitment quota vacancies of gazetted and non gazetted besides class IV posts referred to recruiting agencies, status of vacancies referred to PSC/ SSB in last two years, promotion quota vacancies and status of creation proposals and non filling up of existing vacancies.

Principal Secretary directed the officers to complete all the necessary formalities so that the vacant posts are filled up for better functioning of the department.

Dr Samoon asked the recruiting agencies to speedily conduct all recruitment processes so that maximum youths get benefitted. He said that government is committed to provide all opportunities of growth and development to the youths of JK UT.

While reviewing promotion quota vacancies of gazetted officers, Principal Secretary directed the officers to refer the cases, completed with all requisite formalities, to Public Service Commission. He asked for streamlining the departmental promotion process and timely conduct of DPCs as per guidelines so that no one suffers on this account.
