Srinagar, 21 Feb 2023. A presentation ceremony was organised by Indian Army in collaboration with Sewaj Neesim Foundation at Zorawar Hall, Haiderbeg, Headquarters Sector Rashtriya Rifles, wherein underprivileged children from various educational institutions across Kashmir were invited to receive school bags made from recycled uniforms, which had been donated by soldiers.    The event was organized with the aim of reaching out to the underprivileged children and promoting the idea of support, togetherness and nationalism.   The school bags provided by Sewaj Neesim Foundation have been made by a team of dedicated volunteers, who worked tirelessly to recycle the old uniforms of soldiers. Each bag has been specially designed to be durable and trendy with space for books, stationary and other essentials.   General Officer Commanding, Kilo Force interacted with the children and encouraged them to stay focused on their dreams. The children also had the opportunity to hear from Ms Ishrat Akther, the renowned International Wheelchair Basketball Player, who shared her inspiring story and encouraged them to work hard for their future.    The children who received the school bags were delighted and pledged to strive hard for a brighter tomorrow. School bags stitched out of old Army uniforms would further reinforce the soldier-citizen connect.   PRO (Defence) Srinagar
