Major General Mohit Seth, Sena Medal, Vishisht Seva Medal, General Officer Commanding, Kilo Force today visited Palhallan village near Pattan and interacted with important personalities and local population of the village. The visit of GOC Kilo Force to Palhallan, which used to be in limelight in past years due to terrorism related activities, but is today steadily moving on the path to peace & development is an indicator of the winds of change. During the interaction, the General Officer discussed the current situation in the valley and emphasized on the security measures that have been put in place for the safety and security of the people. He also highlighted the initiatives being taken by the local administration and the Army towards bringing growth & prosperity to the region. Palhallan, a village that was once marred by terrorism, is now on the path towards normalcy, and the local businesses are thriving. The people are enthusiastic to embrace this change and join hands with the Indian Army & the administration. It is worth mentioning that as part of its efforts to reach out to the population, especially in sensitive areas, this is the second visit by a Senior Army Offr to Palhallan in the last six months.     The General Officer also addressed the concerns raised by the people and advised them to maintain peace and not believe in rumors and propaganda spread by “enemies of the nation.” The locals emphasized the need for continuous interaction, especially for the youth, to help them realize their goals and to sensitize them about the nefarious designs of those who aim to disturb the peace of the valley. The visit has bolstered the bond between the populace & Jawan and further reinforced the feeling of security in the hearts & minds of locals.
