RAJOURI, FEBRUARY 16:  District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal today convened a meeting to discuss and review the arrangements for Maha Shivratri Festival.

A discussion on various arrangements like security, maintenance of law and order, traffic regulation, drinking water and power supply, sanitation, medicare, checking of rates and quality of eatables besides deployment of fire tenders was held threadbare in the meeting.

The Jal Shakti and PDD departments were instructed to ensure uninterrupted water and power supply during the festival.

The DDC also asked the concerned officers from FCS & CA, Legal Metrology and Food Safety Departments to intensify market checking to keep a check on overpricing, profiteering, black-marketing besides ensuring the quality of sweets, milk and milk based products and other eatables.

The concerned officer from the fire and emergency Department was directed to keep the fire tenders on alert during the day and night. EO MC has been directed to ensure cleanliness in the town during the festival.

He also directed the concerned officer from the Health Department to keep available all the medicare facilities for the public to meet any emergency.

The DDC directed the officers to synergize their efforts in order to ensure smooth celebrations of Mahashivratri festival across the district.

The meeting was attended by the ADC Rajouri, Sachin Dev Singh; ASP, Vivek Shekhar; CMO, AD FCS & CA, Arief Lone and other concerned officers.
