KUPWARA, FEBRUARY 15: District Development Commissioner (DDC), Kupwara, Dr.Doifode Sagar Dattatray today said that development of hilly, farflung and border areas of Kupwara district is the prime concern of  LG Administration.                  The DDC said this while chairing a public darbar( Public Meeting ) at snow bound Machil block of Kupwara district. He was accompanied by  Senior Superintendent of Police, Kupwara Yougal Manhas and other concerned officers.                Addressing the public meeting at Machil headquarter,  the DDC said that being Wednesday,  Administration decided to conduct weekly public darbar at snow bound border area Machil to monitor the requirements of this border area at ground level. He assured the people that the LG Administration is committed to provide equitable development in all areas of the district especially in hilly and border areas like Machil,  Keran and karnah.                The DDC said that the positive thing which emerged here is that the power supply remained better in the area despite heavy snowfall, which make the life comfortable in the area. He said Administration is also contemplating to overcome the staff scarcity in health sector, for which a plan is in the pipeline . He said food grains and other essential commodities are already dumped in the area which will cater the requirements till May this year.                 Regarding  tele-networking , the DDC assured the people that the Administration is already in touch with the concerned departments and hoped that best results could come out soon.              On the occasion,  the People express their gratitude to Dr. Doifode Sagar Dattatray for providing better heli service in the area to airlift the the needy and critical patients.                Earlier, the DDC heard various public issues projected by local BdC Chairperson,  PRIs and the Senior citizens of the area.               The DDC gave on the spot directions to the concerned officers for timely resolution of the issues and other grievances.
