KATHUA, FEBRUARY 14: To promote languages and Culture as an integral part of National Education Policy- 2020, one more digital initiative has been taken by Chief Education Officer Kathua P L Thapa by inaugurating the link of District Cultural and Education Cell on the official website of the office of the CEO in presence of DEPO, Dy CEO, DRG   DICC and staff of the office.  With this fresh initiative, all the co curricular activities of the District Kathua are one click away from the public.   It is pertinent to mention that Kathua is the first District in J&K to take this initiative with the guidance of higher authorities of the Education Department.  The provision of the new link has been created by Raman Kant Gupta, Assistant Programmer, CEO Office Kathua. The website address is www.ceokathua.in  Speaking on this occasion, the officer said that the co-curricular activities form an integral part of the Education process and much stress is given on promotion of languages and Culture in NEP 2020. “It is the need of the hour to showcase these activities on one digital platform so that the public  can view how students are doing well in all activities along with studies for all round development” he said. He further added that this year twenty six students from District Kathua represented JKUT in different National level programs of Cultural activities including Kala Utsav at Odisha, National Youth Exchange program at Amritsar and National Balrang Festival at Bhopal.
