KATHUA, FEBRUARY 11: Deputy Commissioner Kathua, Rahul Pandey today chaired a meeting to review the implementation and progress achieved under the Rural Development Sector Schemes in the District.

The meeting was attended by ADDC, Ankur Mahajan, Chief Planning Officer, Assistant Commissioner Development, Assistant Commissioner Panchayat, DPO, XEN REW, BDOs, and other concerned officers.

While reviewing the scheme wise works, the DC laid thrust on early completion of both ongoing and new works to achieve set targets before the end of the current financial year.

The DC also asked for regular review of works undertaken by BDOs so as to keep a check on the pace of progress and necessary directions may be given to expedite the work completion.

A threadbare review was also held on flagship schemes including Amrit Sarovar, MGNREGA, B2V, ODF+ etc.

The DC also laid thrust on ensuring saturation of Aadhaar Seeding of the left out beneficiaries.

Regarding the progress of Integrated HouseHold Latrine (IHHL) scheme, the DC called for extending the benefit to all eligible so as to achieve the target of Open Defecation free district.

While discussing the implementation of Aspirational Block Development Programme, the DC enjoined upon all stakeholders to work on the deliverables besides ensuring construction of target assets in a time bound manner.

The DC further called for ensuring optimum utilisation of resources and accomplishment of works within set timelines.
