On 5 February, 2023 Police Station Pattan received a complaint from one Gh Hassan Rather resident of Pakipora Pattan stating therein that during intervening nights of 1st & 2nd February-2023, some unknown burglars barged into his shop and stole cigarettes.

Accordingly Police Station Pattan registered Case FIR number 32/2023 under relevant sections of law and investigation was started.

During the course of investigation of the case with the help of technical and human resources names of some suspects came to surface, one among them namely Azad Mukhtar Hajam S/O Mukhtar Hajam R/O Singhpora Pattan was identified and was called for questioning.

After thorough interrogation he disclosed that he alongwith three more persons namely Altaf Ahmad Dar S/O Gh Mohd Dar R/O Reshipora Hanjiwera, Ajaz Ahmad Bhat S/O Gh Rasool Bhat R/O Singhpora Pattan & Jamshed Ahmad Waza Gh Mohd Waza R/O Singhpora Pattan are involved in the theft, who were also arrested immediately in the instant case.  On their disclosure stolen property alongwith tools used for burglary were recovered from their possession.
