Construction of 2782 border bunkers completed in Rajouri district  

DDC sets March 2023 deadline for completion of remaining bunkers

RAJOURI, FEBRUARY 06: District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal today chaired a meeting of the concerned officers to review the progress of work on the border bunkers being constructed by the PWD and RDD.  The meeting was informed that against the target of constructing 3140 bunkers, the work on 2782 bunkers is complete in all respects. DDC asked to complete work on the rest of the bunkers by March 31 this year.  The DDC also instructed the officers to put in all possible efforts to ensure that the set targets are achieved well in time so that necessary benefits are provided to the border residents with the completion of bunkers.  Stress was also laid on maintaining quality while executing work on the bunkers. The DDC made it clear that no laxity shall be tolerated in this regard.  The meeting was attended by the Chief Planning Officer, Mohammad Khurshid; Assistant Commissioner Development, Vijay Kumar; ExEn PWD(R&B) Rajouri, Maqbool Hussain and ExEn PWD (R&B) Nowshera, Bikram Singh.
