RAMBAN, FEBRUARY 03:  Indian Army organised tailoring cadre camp on the theme of “Women Empowerment”  under Sadhbhavna in far- flung area   Kalimasta of Sub Division Gool of district Ramban, besides distributed sewing machines among women of the area to equip them with necessary skills and equipments.

The event was graced by the Member, District Development Council, Ramban, Sakhi Mohammad and officials from civil administration.

The aim of the project was to get local women into the development of the nation through skill development and provide employment opportunities to them. The project was culminated by distribution of sewing machines and an awareness lecture about various Government schemes for women.

The project includes Tailoring Cadre for seven days for 25 selected needy women with the help of an instructor was started on 17th January, 2023, wherein ladies were taught basic skills of stitching, modification and repair of dresses.

The project would assist local women to become self-reliant and contribute financially towards the progress of their family. The event would go a long way in winning hearts and minds of the local populace and strengthening the bond between the Indian Army and Awam
