Srinagar, Feb 03:    Senior BJP leader party’s JK spokesman Altaf Thakur Friday urged the Deputy Commissioners and Additional Deputy Commissioners (ADC’s) of J&K UT to abide by the directions of Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and Chief Secretary Arun Kumar Mehta about safeguarding and protecting the poor lot during the ongoing anti-encroachment drive so that the common people have a sigh of relief.  Thakur in a statement issued here said that despite the false propaganda by various political parties and leaders to gain political mileage from the ongoing drive but LG sir’s timely announcement about poor won’t be touched shut the mouths of those who had started a smear campaign to gain political mileage. Now fresh directons from the Chief Secretary came as a major boost to poor lot who have constructed houses on 5, 7, and 10 malras won’t be touched came as another breather for the poor. Thakur however, said that big sharks and influential won’t be spared and as stated by the CS , land retrieved from the infulential will be used to construct hospitals, play grounds’, parks and bus stands for common people.  Thakur urged the DC’s and ADCs to behave friendly with the poor lot and act tough against big sharks.
