KARNAH// The people of Karen and Karnah are bracing for the efforts of the administration, army and police as the administration on Thursday once again launched a night operation on foot to bring the  bodies of two Karnah residents who died in Srinagar.while a patient of Karen was also delivered  at kupwara through chopper service.  In the midst of heavy snow, the Karnah administration once again had to start a rescue operation to bring the dead bodies of 2 persons to Karnah when the restoration of the highway was not possible even on Thursday and the 2 bodies were lying in the morchery of Handwara from the last 4 days.  A week ago  on the instructions of Deputy Commissioner Kupwara Dr. D. Sagar, the administration had started a night rescue operation during the night to bring the bodies of 2 people to Karnah, which was also successful.the locals of karnah are very thankful to the administration ,becon, indian army and DDc kuowara The road has been closed form last 5 days again due to heavy snowfallFour days ago, two residents named Qalandar Mir of Dildar Karnah and Lal din of Dtagar Karnah died in Srinagar.  The next morning, the relatives brought their bodies to Kupwara in order to complete the religious accessories and bury them in their ancestral tombyards but in view of the heavy snowfall on Sadhana Top and the danger of avalanches, the restoration of the highway was delayed.  It was not possible, after which the Karnah administration started a rescue operation to bring the dead bodies to Karnah again under the direction of District Development Commissioner Kupwara Dr. D. Sagar.  Dr. Gulzar Ahmed Rather, SDM.Karnah, leads from chowkibal towards karnah while the tehsildar karnah, eyaad qadri leads from karnah towards sadhna top.there is 8 to 10 feet snow recorded on sadhna highway and there is a risk of avalanche and shooting stones . Dr. Gulzar Ahmad Rather said that the restoration work of the highway had been started, but there were continuous sweats and tears at the place of the blood stream and the dam.  Stones are falling, which is causing obstacles in the restoration work. He said that the dead bodies will be transported from Chowkibal to Khoni Nala, from where the volunteers under the custody of Tehsildar Karnah will reach there on foot and take the dead bodies to Sadhana, from where  The SDM said that the dead bodies would be brought to Karnah by late evening. He advised people to avoid traveling before the highway is restored as heavy mud and stones may fall on this pass.  He said that we do not want any loss of life.  It is worth mentioning that such an operation can cause more casualties on this highway, but the authorities are completely unable to come up with an alternative solution for this because the Sadhana Gali, located at an altitude of 11,000 feet, not only has strong winds.  Rather, snow storms also occur and in such a situation this pass is no less than a big problem for the administration and now everyone is raising their voices that the central government should construct the Tunnel here to solve the problems of the people.  One patient was also brought to Kupwara by the administration through chopper service. Meanwhile, the district administration of Kupwara along with the army and other authorities transported a female patient from Karen to Zangli Kupwara by military chopper where she was treated at Sub District Hospital Kupwara.  On going, the people of Kupwara district especially Keran and other border areas have appreciated the efforts of Deputy Commissioner Kupwara Dr. Doyphod Sagar Dattatre and thanked him a lot for making the transfer of patients from Keran to Kupwara possible.  Meanwhile, the Deputy Commissioner directed the Superintendent Sub-District Hospital Kupwara to pay special attention to the patient and provide all possible support from the hospital.      —
