KUPWARA : 29 Jan In continuation to protracted BSF efforts to win heart and mind of Kashmiri Border people especially youth, 97 Bn BSF Trehgam Kupwara Kashmir under Civic Action Programme of MHA for Kashmiri students organised bharat Darshan tour. A group of 14 Boys & 01 Teacher of Govt High School of village Keran,Mandia , Kundian & Patra near to Line of Control was flagged off by Anil Verma (Offg) Deputy Inspector General SHQ Kupwara in presence of Harshwardhan Singh Rawat Commandant 97 Bn BSF. Senior citizens & respected people of Trehgam & LC villages marked their presence on the occasion. Abdul Rashid Peer Imam of Trehgam, Mazaz Khan , Social Worker of Keran,Sabir Ahmad Malik ,General Secretary Market Committee ,Trehgam , Mushtaq Ahmad, Namberdar,Trehgam,Md Sarif Tanzoo, Sarpanch , Trehgam( D ),Jahangir Ahmad, Member of Market committee Trehgam , Nazir Ahmad , SHO Trehgam, school teachers & parents of students were present on the occasion. During the 07 days tour these students will visit major tourist attractions in the Capital city i.e. Delhi , Pink city i.e. Jaipur & Ajmer. These students will also visit places of historical /cultural importance in surrounding areas to witness the multicultural & multilingual diversity of our beloved country.
This tour will provide a unique exposure to the students of rich culture and heritage of India and will also enable them to gain first hand knowledge about various developments taking place in different part of the country .
During flag off ceremony Comdt 97 Bn said that a debate competition will be conducted among the participating students concerning to their travelogue on their returns.
