Handwara Police organises medical camp at Vilgam under Civic Action Programme

Handwara  January 28.2023.  Today on 28th January 2023 Handwara Police organised a free medical camp under the Civic Action Programme initiative at Vilgam.   Doctors from different specialities were present for the medical camp. This initiative was an effort to facilitate people in far-off areas and providing access to medical checkup and medicines by doctors.   More than three hundred patients suffering from various ailments availed the facilities of the medical camp.   Additionally, the visiting members of public were made aware about signs and symptoms of drug addiction so that they could identify early onset of addiction and appropriate intervention. They were also made aware of Deaddiction facilities which could be life saving for severe addicts. They were urged to spread awareness among their social groups that addiction was treatable with the right medical attention and that addicts and their families should not shy away from seeking medical help to get rid of their drug addiction.
