GPDP finalized at Kupwara Chairman DDC asks for holistic development of Kupwara district

KUPWARA, JANUARY 21: District Administration Kupwara today organized a day long session of the officers and fied functionaries of Rural Development department for finalization of Gram Panchayat Development Plan (GPDP) in the district. The function was chaired by Chairman District Development Council, Kupwara, Irfan Sultan Panditpuri.
DDC Member Rajwar, Mir Suliman; DDC Member Drugmulla, Amina Majeed; ACD Kupwara, Hilal Ahmad Mir; ACP, Shabir Ahmad, BDOs, besides, AEs, JEs, Panchayat Secretaries and Technical Assistants of RDD were present on the occasion.
Addressing the function, the Chairman DDC urged upon all the officers and field functionaries of Rural Development department to work in coordination for smooth implementation of the Gram Panchayat Development Plan and ensure holistic development of the district.
ACD on the occasion said that the objective of holding the session was to shape the already made GPDP of panchayats in the district which shall touch the development of economy, status and living standard of the people. He asked the participants to think beyond common works like protection bunds and drains and make innovative ways for effective development of the villages.
Other speakers including DDC Members and other officers also spoke and shared their thoughts regarding best Gram Panchayat Development plan.
During the session, a threadbare discussion was held on the shaping of GPDP which included GPDP implementation, base data for planning & additional source of data, mapping of MA parameters with 14th FC/PMAY/ADF/MGNREGA, Gap identification, identification of critical sectors and way forward for implementation.
