Karnah Kupwara: Save Sharda Committee Kashmir Regd is beginning on 24 January a trans nation yatra of carrying Sharda Murti/idol from Sringeri in Karnataka to LoC Teetwal. Earlier,on invitation of Sringeri Dakshnayam Sharda Mutt, SSCK received panchloha ( 5 metals) Sharda Murti for newly constructed Sharda Temple at LoC Teetwal in Kashmir. The members of Save Sharda Committee have already arrived in Bangalore & Sringeri to carry the murti in a newly purchased & decorated vehicle from Point to point kashmiri pandit bhawans enroute various cities as per tour itinerary.
The tour itinerary was released last fortnight by MoS PMO Dr. Jitendra Singh in New Delhi in presence of committee Head Ravinder Pandita. The yatra in a chariot vehicle will proceed from Sringeri to Bangalore to Mumbai to Pune to Ahmedabad to Jaipur to Delhi-NCR to Chandigarh to Amritsar to Jammu to Kupwara and will be reaching Tikker asthappan in Kupwara in last week of next month. The murti will finally be consecrated in newly built temple on 22 March’ Ist. Navratra. In a significant move the Committee has invited its Civil society members across LoC too for the inauguration of the temple on 22 March as a goodwill gesture via Chilhana TCP. The temple is likely to be presided over by a local sarpanch of Teetwal, being a purely Civil society initiative.
“The primary aim to move the chariot from one KP bhawan to another is allow community seniors & Gen Next to have darshana of Sharda idol, who will not be able to make it to Teetwal on consecration day. All are invited to these bhawans to have darshana and seek Mata’s blessings ‘ said Ravinder Pandita , Head & Founder of Save Sharda committee Kashmir Regd.
In a Press release, Founder of Save Sharda Committee Sh. Ravinder Pandita said that he is very grateful to sringeri mutt for having supported us in reclaiming the lost heritage of 1947 at Teetwal. “ There used to be a Dharamshala & a sikh Gurudwara here in Teetwal which was burnt during Qabali raids in 1947. We got the land from locals in September 2021 during our annual yatra on this traditional route of Sharda Peeth yatra, that lies in PoK now. The official Charri Mubarak would proceed from teetwal to Chilhana onwards to Sharda Peeth those days. We feel blessed on this historic moment” said Ravinder Pandita. Meanwhile the committee that constructed the sikh Gurudwara also, has been handeover to sangat, last month, through its member S. Joginder Singh of Tribhoni, Tangdhar.
