KATHUA, JANUARY 20: DDC Chairman Kathua Col Mahan Singh (Retd) on Friday said that the Jal Jeevan Mission envisaged by Government is all set to resolve archaic water crisis in Kandi belts forever.  He was speaking after the inauguration of a Tube well at Patwani locality in Tridwan Panchayat of Hatli in Kathua area.   DDC Member, Keerian  Gandyal, Shaveta Kumari also accompanied the DDC Chairman during the inauguration  ceremony of the newly constructed tube well.   Speaking on the occasion, the DDC Chairman assured people that potable water availability in village Tridwan (Hatli)  will be well catered as the project worth Rs 6 Crore encompasses three Water Supply Schemes,  laying of new water supply lines and development of allied infrastructure which will fulfil the drinking water needs of all the inhabitants.  Col Mahan said that the government in J&K has been able to address the issues of people which they were confronting since ages only because of visionary insight of PM Narendra Modi. The PM  took personal interest in finding out remedies to the problems which people faced in the region due to indifference of successive governments that reigned the region in the past.  The DDC Chairman expressed gratitude to PM Narendra Modi for launching JJM to resolve perennial problems of drinking water in Kandi regions of Kathua District. He said that time is not far when the dream of Har Ghar Nal Se Jal will be fulfilled in the Kandi belt.  DDC Lohai Malhar, Sarpanch Tridwan, Sarpanch Hatli, XEN Jalshakti Deptt & Staff, and locals were also present in large number.
