Distt Admin Kulgam intensifies Anti-encroachment drives  Retrieves 253 Kanals of State/ Kahcharie Land in 2 days

KULGAM, JANUARY 19: Acting tough against encroachments, the District Administration Kulgam has launched intensive anti-encroachment drives to  retrieve all State/Kahcharie land across the district.  The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Dr. Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat has passed strict directions to all Tehsildars for intensifying the anti-encroachment drives in the district for retrieval of all encroached State and Kahcharie Land.  Following these directions, teams from revenue department in all tehsils have launched massive and intensified anti encroachment drives across all tehsils and in  last two days administration has retrieved more than 253 Kanals of encroached State and Kahcharie land.  Besides, village wide notices were also served by Tehsildars and Naib Tehsildars across the district to encroachers and they were warned to vacate the encroached State Land/Kahcharie Land/Shamilat Section 4,  within one week or else they have to bear the consequences under Law.  Assistant Commissioner Revenue informed that so-far atleast 40 percent of encroached land has already been  retrieved in the district.  He said the process is being monitored by DC  and other senior Officers of the district.
