Stranded vehicles reached Karnah, Tangdar to Chowkibal to be allowed today: Administration.

Karnah-kupwara road thrown open for vehicular traffic one way after remaining closed for five days.
Karnah Administration has asked passengers to ply on the road keeping in view the weather conditions of area.
Meanwhile, adminstration said that vehicular traffic was allowed to move from Tangdar to Chowkibal.
Remember that there was heavy snowfall on Tangdar to Chowkibal road and Sadhna patch had got five feet snow accumulated.
Beacon authorities kept on working on the road for five consecutive days to clear the road though they faced alot of hardship during the clearance of road yet they came up successful in getting snow cleared from the road.
Today almost 70 passenger vehicles and load carriers from Chowkibal to Tangdar traffic was allowed to move on.
The passenger vehicles had those passengers who remained stranded at different places of valley for five days.
SDM KARNAH Dr Gulzar Rather had issued an advisory which reads only favorable weather conditions might allow traffic to move on from Karnah to Kupwara.
The advisory further mentions that no vehicles to be allowed to move from Karnah to Kupwara or vice versa sans having safety gears like antiskid chains since there are apprehension of slides or snow avalanches on the road which might put at stake the lives of passengers plying on the road.
