Dr Hina Bhat visits Bandipora, participates in awareness programme at Aragam

BANDIPORA, JANUARY 17: Vice Chairperson (VC), J&K Khadi and Village Industries Board (KVIB), Dr Hina Shafi Bhat, today visited district Bandipora and participated in an awareness programme at Aragam Bandipora.

The awareness programme was attended by ADC Bandipora and other concerned officers from district administration and KVIB besides PRIs and general public.

The VC also visited Noor centre and interacted with the trainees there. She appreciated the trainers for their hard work besides lauding the trainees as well for making traditional garments like lachka and shawls having cultural and traditional importance. She lauded the efforts of shahida khanam, the owner of Noor Centre in reviving the culture.

Dr. Hina said LG administration has launched numerous schemes for welfare and development of youth of the UT.

She said 37% shares of loans taken from KVIB are being availed by girls for business and other purposes and 1126 units has already been established under KVIB generating employment for  8750 persons in current FY in Bandipora district.

She assured all support to Noor Centre to establish their stalls all over India. She also assured all possible support in establishment of craft centre for providing stipends to trainees, wages to trainers, rent for building and raw material to the noor centre.

Dr. Hina appreciated the efforts of district administration and Police for their efforts in curbing drug menace and urged upon youth to come forward and avail benefits under different government schemes.

Later, Dr. Hina visited Flex manufacturing unit Nadihal and kasperia organic Milk Processing and Cheese and Khoya plant at Papchan Bandipora.
