RAMBAN, JANUARY 12: Deputy Commissioner, Ramban, Mussarat Islam convened a meeting of senior officers in his office to review the functioning of the Revenue Department, here today.

Additional Deputy Commissioner, Harbans Lal, ACR, Giasul-Haq, SDM, Gool Tanveer-ul-Majid, SDM Banihal, Zaheer Abass Bhat,    Tehsildars, Naib Tehsildar and other concerned attended the meeting.

Reviewing the status of Revenue Court Cases and other related issues, the DC directed the officers to speed up the disposal to settle the issues of the general public.

The progress of digitization of Revenue records, including  Massavis and issuance of Passbooks to land owners was also reviewed in detail. The DC directed the officers and officials to extend handholding to people to avail the benefit of online services being provided by the Revenue Department.

The Deputy Commissioner also reviewed the status of the functioning of e- Office and asked the officers to take assistance from the NIC team for smooth functioning of the system.

The DC also reviewed the progress on the removal of encroachments from State land, Kahcharai, Common land and the expunging of entries from the Revenue record. He also reviewed the status of attestation of Mutation, issuance of Domicile Certificates, disposal of SRO 43 cases, relief cases under SDRF, and vacancy positions at various levels.

While reviewing the status of the disposal of complaints and grievances both online and offline, the DC directed the officers to ensure the implementation of the Public Service Guarantee Act (PSGA) in their officers to further improve the public delivery system.

The SDMs were advised to organize meetings with subordinate sectoral officers, besides paying frequent visits to different areas in their respective jurisdictions to resolve public issues.
