JAMMU, JANUARY 11: Deputy Commissioner Jammu, Avny Lavasa today visited Panchayat Chowadi of block Satwari and inspected the completed and ongoing works of Rural Development Department (RDD). She was accompanied by Assistant Commissioner Development Preeti Sharma, BDO, Saima Sarvar, Sarpanch Chowadi Arshad Bibi along with field functionaries of Rural Development and Revenue departments. During the visit, the DC inspected the additional work of fencing at identified land for SPCA, rejuvenation of existing water bodies, installation of street lights, soakage pits, composite pits and other development works in Panchayat Chowadi. The Deputy Commissioner enquired from the PRI member and local residents about development activities, priorities and requirement of the areas. The Deputy Commissioner directed the BDO to expedite the pace of work and ensure timeline completion. She impressed upon the staff to work with zeal and dedication to achieve the targets set for the current financial Year. Instructions were also issued for maintaining transparency in the process of execution of Development works and timely up-dating of the online portals under various schemes of the Rural Development Department.
