BANDIPORA, JANUARY 11: The District Administration Bandipora on Wednesday organised a public outreach programme at Sumbal sub division of Bandipora.
The programme was presided over by Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Dr. Owais Ahmed and was attended by SDM Sumbal Amir Choudhary, Tehsildar Sumbal, DDC Members, PRIs and general public from Ganastan Sumbal and other adjacent areas.
The Public representatives and general public put forth various issues of public importance.
The DC after patiently listening to the public resolved various issues on the spot and also directed officers to resolve genuine public grievances on priority.
Dr. Owais on the occasion directed the departments to ensure redressal of public issues in a time bound manner and asked them to focus on Government sponsored schemes.
He asked the officers to ensure completion of all works in stipulated time to benefit the general public.
He asked the PRIs and other concerned to focus on the improvement of infrastructure of schools and road connectivity.
Dr. Owais also appreciated the elected representatives of Block Ganastan for the construction of Block Development Office at Ganastan.
The DC on the occasion stressed on solid waste management at panchayat level and asked the PRIs to identify the persons to be engaged for door to door collection of waste and its proper management.
He asked the BDOs to make efforts for the successful implementation of Solid Waste Management at panchayat level.
Dr. Owais exhorted officers to make concerted efforts to saturate individual beneficiary schemes and work in mission mode for empowerment of youth.
