RAJOURI, JANUARY 06:   Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal, who is also the District Panchayat Election Officer, on Friday flagged off a van designated as SVEEP Express to raise public awareness about the Panchayat Electoral Roll Revision 2022.

Officers present on the occasion were ADC, Sachin Dev Singh; Dy DEO, Babu Ram Tandan; DIO, Narinder Kumar and ENT, Surjit Singh.

The SVEEP Express was flagged off here from the DC Office Complex to intensify awareness activities related to Revision of Panchayat Electoral Roll, 2022 under the Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation program (SVEEP).

Speaking on the occasion, the DPEO said that the objective of the awareness campaign was to register all youth who have attained the qualifying age of 18 years on or before 1st January 2023 as the electors in the Electoral Roll.

“The SVEEP Express will go to every Panchayat, Patwar Halqa and village across the district to disseminate information about the schedule of revision of Panchayat Electoral Roll 2022 and enrolment process among the public” he added.

It is pertinent to mention here that the last date for filing the objection and claim is 18-01-2023.
