Digital land passbooks distributed in Chumbian Jattan

JAMMU, DECEMBER 31: District Administration Jammu, under the overall supervision of Deputy Commissioner, Avny Lavasa today provided digital land passbooks to the legal owners in village Chumbian Jattan.  As many as 40 Property Cards were distributed among the legal landlords by Tehsildar Sohan Lal Rana in presence of Sarpanches and Panches.

The Deputy Commissioner termed the initiative as a remarkable step towards ensuring transparency and good governance. She described the initiative as a milestone to improve Public Services delivery and to make the system easily accessible and accountable.

The Deputy Commissioner said that Land Passbooks issued to the landholder contains entries which will enable the landholder to make its use for Credit facilities and for other matters connected therewith.

She added that the Land Passbook will provide Revenue related information to the land owners in a very simple form, besides shall act as a valid paper to present before financial and other institutions.
