DC Pulwama reviews Republic Day-2023 arrangements

PULWAMA, DECEMBER 30: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Pulwama, Baseer-Ul-Haq Choudhary today chaired a meeting of District Officers and representatives of security agencies to review the arrangements for Republic Day 2023, here.

The meeting was informed that the main function will be held at District Police Lines whereas similar functions would be held at all Tehsil headquarters.  It was given out that contingents of JKP, CRPF,  students of government and private schools will participate in the march past parade.  The DC directed the officials to ensure adequate security arrangements, parking facilities and proper seating arrangements at the venue, besides ensuring uninterrupted power and water supply.

He also directed the Health Department to set-up an adequate number of medical camps with proper staff, ambulance and Medicare facilities at the respective venues where the Republic Day function will be held in the district.  He directed the officials of the Municipal Committee to maintain cleanliness in and around District Police lines, roads, and streets in the town. He further called for close coordination among the concerned departments for smooth and peaceful conduct of the Republic Day.  In case of inclement weather, Mechanical Division was directed to ensure availability of snow clearance machines Whereas District Mineral Officer was directed to keep availability of dust and sand for smooth pacing of parades.

DC directed officers to ensure cent percent attendance of employees on the Republic day.

SSP Pulwama Ghulam Jeelani, ADDC Pulwama Dr Sheikh Abdul Aziz, Additional Deputy Commissioner Pulwama/ Awantipora/ Tral, General Manager DIC, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, ACD, ACP, Chief Medical Officer, Chief Education Officer, Executive Engineers of R&B, PHE, Tehsildars, CO-44 RR, CO-183 Bn CRPF, Senior civil, Army and Police officers and other concerned officers were present at the meeting.
