ANANTNAG, DECEMBER 30: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Anantnag, Dr Basharat Qayoom today reviewed the status of works being executed by KPDCL Anantnag as part of various schemes.  The meeting was informed that in Bijbehara division, 96 works under execution have been completed and the remaining ones will be completed within the stipulated timeline. Similarly, in Anantnag 162 works have been completed while others are under execution.  Dr Basharat appreciated the efforts of the department in order to achieve physical and financial progress in completion of works. He said that augmentation of electric infrastructure will be instrumental in ensuring quality and reliable supply of electricity to the end consumer.  The DC also highlighted the need to maintain strict vigil against power thefts and emphasized enforcement against theft and misuse. He said curtailment schedules must be publicly circulated and directed the department to ensure replacement of transformers and other infrastructure affected during winters as per stimulated timeline.  The meeting was attended by ADDC Anantnag, SE KPDCL, and Ex. Engineers of the Department among others.
