JKNS / Daily Gadyal Srinagar, Dec 29: Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) Inspector General Ms Charu Sinha, posted in Kashmir, held an non formal meeting with few working journalists where she said the youth must be kept busy with something so that they won’t get involved in mischievous activities.The Trust and reliability also the guarantee of lasting peace. According to JKNS, the IG CRPF Ms Charu Sinha held an informal ‘meeting over the cup of Tea’ with some journalists associated with local, national and international media organizations here on Thursday.
During the meeting, she expressed her thoughts about the situation in Kashmir, the role and services of the security forces deployed here and the Kashmiri youth. She stressed upon that as much as we will keep our youth busy in sports and other activities apart from imparting quality education, they will stay away from mischievous things. In this regard a comprehensive strategy has been formulated to restore confidence, and we are following it with later and spirit. She said that the CRPF has strengthened itself here, and has also made it quite active.
The forces also played a pivotal role in protecting the pilgrims and providing them with essential facilities during the Amarnath Yatra. She said that this is a proof of the joint strategy and coordination of the CRPF and the local police and other security agencies that this year apart from Amarnath Pilgrims but also millions of tourists, and other people experienced the beauty of Kashmir without any fear. Sinha further added that, “During this year’s Amarnath Yatra, we have used drones along with maintaining strict vigilance on the ground, so that we always keep an eye on the surroundings.
She said that the central has established close contact with the public as they have always put in their best efforts to help the local people wherever and whenever needed. She also added, that medical and other camps were organized by the force, and a large number of local people including men and women participated in those camps.
Mentioning the youth and minors, she said that after the winter vacations, the students are sitting idle at home, and that is why CRPF has organized various events and programs under ‘Jashan Chilla Kalan’. More competitive events for the youth, including debates, painting, sports competitions, and other activities are in the pipeline to keep the youth busy with something beneficial inorder to keep them away from choosing any wrong path.
