Sopore, 27 December 2022: Sopore Police arrested one more drug peddler on second consecutive day in the jurisdiction of Police Station Sopore.
A police party of Police Post Warpora headed by Incharge Police Post Warpora under the supervision of SDPO Sopore and SHO Sopore intercepted a vehicle bearing registration number DL4CAP 8747 during the naka checking at T crossing Warpora Sopore.
During the search Police party was able to recover 35 grams of Brown Sugar like substance and 20 Bits of brown sugar ready for sale from the driver namely Ashiq Ahmad War @Ashiq Lala S/O Ali Muhammad War R/O Raj mohalla Warpora Sopore. Accused has been arrested and the vehicle used in the commission of crime has also been seized.
Accordingly case FIR No. 273/2022 Under Section 8/21 of NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Sopore and investigation has been taken up.
