DC Anantnag reviews implementation of CAPEX Plan  ANANTNAG

DECEMBER 27: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Anantnag, Dr Basharat Qayoom today reviewed the implementation of the District CAPEX plan by the Rural Development Department.  Dr Basharat directed the officials to ensure that taken up works are completed within the stipulated timeline. He reviewed the progress across blocks and discussed issues raised by BDOs in implementation of some works.

The DC emphasized that PRIs must be involved in the implementation of the plan. He impressed upon the officials to ensure coordination amongst departments to ensure overall development.  The Executive Engineer informed the meeting that some contractors who had participated in the tendering process and then failed to execute the same have been blacklisted and the list will be made public in the coming days. He recommended that they be debarred from participating in the tendering process in Govt contracts in other departments also.

Some ROW issues were also discussed. ACR Anantnag Shoaib Noor assured the chair that all such issues will be taken up on priority. He directed BDOs to coordinate with Tehsildars regarding the same.  The DC was also informed regarding pending execution of works on Irrigation Canals. RDD and Irrigation departments were directed to ensure joint visits to the concerned sites and taken up works which are of community benefit and do not affect the irrigation network.

The meeting was attended by ADDC, JD Planning, ACD, ACR, Executive Engineer REW, Ex Engineer Jal Shakti, TO to Ex Engineer Jal Shakti, BDOs and AEs.  NO: PR/DDI/SGR/22/5403/
