Hajin : Department of Handicrafts and Handloom in association with District Industries Centre organised an awareness program on govt schemes for artisans and weavers in town Hall Hajin on Saturday. The program was presided over by Chairman Municipal Committee Hajin Irshad Ahmad Wani besides him Mohammad Ibrahim Gilloo Assistant Handicrafts Training Officer Bandipora,Mohammad Mubarak Industrial Promotion Officer Bandipora,Registrar ARI,AHTO Handloom department,PRI’s were also present in the presidium.
The program was attended by artisans and weavers from different areas Speaking at the event, Irshad Ahmad Wani lauded the efforts of the handicrafts & handloom department in reaching out to the artisans and weavers and helping them raise their awareness regarding the schemes of the H&H department. He urged artisans and weavers to come forward and take full benefits from these government schemes . Assistant Handicrafts Training Officer Bandipora Mohammad Ibrahim Gilloo said that the primary objective of the event was to make local artisans and weavers aware about the government schemes and initiatives related to Handicraft and Handlooms.
He highlighted the significance of H&H sector. He also spoke about the reforms and initiatives taken by the department.
