DC Kishtwar inspects patient care facilities in District Hospital  Directs for completion of upcoming Eye Block -Building within one month  KISHTWAR,

DECEMBER 26: Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, Dr Devansh Yadav today conducted a surprise inspection of District Hospital Kishtwar and took stock of the patient care facilities and services being provided to the people.  During the visit, the DC inspected OPD, PM-Jan Aushadi Kendra, Gynae, ENT and Dental sections and assessed their working.  He also visited general, surgical and ortho wards and interacted with patients and doctors to enquire about the current patient care facilities and health scenario.

He also checked the receipt register and directed for maintaining indoor and outdoor patient records and serial numbering on each Receipt for a transparent patient care system.  The officials at PM-Jan Aushadhi Kendra were directed to ensure adequate supply and stock of generic medicines so that the patients do not face   inconvenience due to shortage of stocks.  Interacting with Doctors and staff members, he asked them to perform their duties with utmost dedication and honesty.   Medical Superintendent, Dr Javida Qazi apprised the DC  about various issues and infrastructure gaps.

The DC directed the MS to explore the possibilities of filling the gaps through procurement of adequate infrastructure.  While taking stock of the sanitation and hygiene, he  directed the concerned to maintain sanitation protocol in premises of hospital for the  safety of patients and the attendants.  Later, the DC also visited Integrated Counseling & Testing Center (ICTC) (a place to provide a window for rendering information about HIV prevention) and reviewed its functioning.  The MS was directed to implement the universal usage of Face Mask in the premises of the District Hospital for the safety of patients and visitors visiting the hospital.

During the visit, he inspected the progress of the under-constructed Eye Block and directed Concerned Executing (PwD) authorities to complete the Building within one month.  NO: PR/DDI/J-5214//
