NTEP: DC Anantnag kicks-off SNC Survey

 The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Anantnag, Dr Basharat Qayoom today flagged-off teams from Dak bungalow Khanabal, here to conduct the sub national certification (SNC) survey of the district.

Speaking on the occasion, the DC said that last year the district had shown remarkable performance in reduction of incidence of TB. He said the district is applying for TB free status this year.

He exhorted the field officials involved in carrying out the survey to lay stress on quality data capturing and to ensure scientific sampling so that a district wide picture is established.

Dr Basharat said that awareness programs to reduce the incidence of TB in the district will continue.

District Tuberculosis officer Anantnag, Dr Syed Faheem Aalam informed that a total of 10 teams have been allotted separate villages which have been selected by the Central TB division. The survey is expected to be completed by the end of this month and will cover a minimum of 10000 households.

Chief Medical Officer Dr. MY Zagoo, District Tuberculosis officer Anantnag Dr. Syed Faheem Aalam SNC survey team NTEP staff were also present.
