‘We are witnessing transformation under LG administration, a change which could not happen in last 70 years’, tells a citizen of Pulwama
PULWAMA, DECEMBER 06: The second phase of ‘My Town, My Pride’ today conducted across Pulwama with an array of activities held across all 05 municipalities of the district amid overwhelming public participation.

Secretary said that ‘My Town, My Pride’, aims to deliver public services at doorsteps, build developmental initiatives on the feedback, cooperation and participation from people and strengthen strong and vibrant local self-governance.
He reiterated that during the program, the administration has made sure to deliver public services at doorsteps.
Talat Parvez appealed the citizen’s to participate in such programa to discuss their development issues and share feedback and take part in the decision making process.
On the occasion, the Talat Parvez held interaction with the locals, civil society and PRI representatives of their respective Municipalities to take stock of public demands, grievances and other developmental needs.
Commissioner distributed Land Passbooks, Age Certificates, Golden Cards, Vehicles under MUMKIN scheme, PMAY cheques and various other benefits under “Beti Bachao Beti Padhao” scheme among the beneficiaries.
Talat Parvez along with DC Pulwama also attended a painting competition organised by Education Department under Jan Abhiyan, wherein a large number of students participated and displayed their artistic skill.
He was accompanied by SSP Pulwama Ghulam Jeelani, ADDC Pulwama Dr Sheikh Abdul Aziz besides other district officers.
Visiting officers, during the programme, took stock of the progress on various schemes/plans being implemented by various departments.
Deputy Commissioner Pulwama, Baseer-ul-Haq Choudhary, also visited MC Pulwama and interacted with people along with visiting officers. He took part in MTMP activities and listened to public issues and sought feedback from the public on development works and implementation of welfare, digital services. He said that during the 2nd phase of ‘My Town, My Pride’ discussions and on-spot redressal related to developmental issues wad held across the town.
Meanwhile, visiting officer Firdous Ahmad Giri along with ADC Tral visited various places in Tral town and took stock of facilities being provided by the government to the general public.
Pertinently, “My Town My Pride 2.0”Programme was held in all five municipalities of the district like MC Khrew with visiting officer Mohammad Younis Malik, Joint Financial Commissioner Agrarian Reforms, MC Tral with visiting officer Dr Firdous Ahmad Giri, Secretary J&K BOPEE, MC Pampore with visiting officer Purnima Mittal, Director Animal Husbandry Kashmir and MC Awantipora with visiting officer Ashiq Hussain Lily, where detailed discussion was held with the said Visiting officers by the district officers regarding different development projects. Besides, issues being faced by the common masses of different panchayats were listened to by the Visiting Officers.
A number of grievances were solved on the spot and rest were forwarded to the concerned departments for prompt redressal.
Officers/officials of various line departments, DDCs, BDCs, PRIs and people in large numbers participated in these MTMP programmes.
