Dec 05: Civil defence organisation Baramulla,Youth Building and Peace Foundation Trust Bomai in collaboration with Welkin School Sopore with the support of the Indian Army on Monday organized a program on Internet addiction.
Among numerous wonders of science, the fusion of smartphones and the internet is ubiquitous in present times. Internet and smartphones have now become a necessity for all age groups as we are progressively moving towards a digital life but a smartphone connected to an internet connection is a bad master too. Once a person gets addicted to it, he forgets the world of reality and remains stuck to it all day enjoying social networking, online gaming, online shopping, and other likely things. We often see most people sitting among their family members or among their friends chatting with their other friends on social sites. Though physically they remain among their families most often they remain absent-minded and are lost in the world of social sites – a virtual world said various speakers on the occasion.
The chief guest and the speaker of the day was Dr. Mir. Anayat.
Meanwhile, The Vote of thanks was given by Madam Sadaf a cultural head of Welkin School Sopore and she hoped that such programs will take place in the future too.
She said most of us realize this loss at very late hours. But at that time we can’t escape from this addiction and we are unable to repair the loss. So before such a stage occurs in our lives it is better to stay away from such addiction and use our smartphones and internet service in a judicious way.
